hudson's halfway home

I am so excited to be partnering with Hudson's Halfway Home!

If you're not familiar with HHH and all that they do, prepare to be impressed. Hudson's Halfway Home is a dog rescue located in Decatur, Illinois, that specializes in cleft palate puppies and dogs with special needs.

About a year ago, my dog Charlie was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.  Around that same time, HHH took in a dog named Amir with the same condition.  As we adapted to having a special needs dog of our own, Hudson's mission really resonated with me. 

Special needs dogs can be emotionally and financially draining, but these dogs are especially in need of incredible homes who are able to cater to their unique needs. And while it isn't always an easy road, it is absolutely worth it.

But caring for special needs dogs isn't cheap. As a 501c3 charity, Hudson's provides the dogs in their care with the basic needs of food, bedding, toys, and treats, but also carries the medical bills that come with providing the best possible care and rehabilitation to prepare these dogs for their forever homes. Expensive tests, treatment, therapy, and medication are all necessary to help these sweet dogs live their best lives, but for a non-profit, can be draining.

I want to help with that.

So for each dog portrait session booked with us, a portion of profits will be donated back to help Hudson's Halfway Home with their amazing work.

It's a win-win, really. You get beautiful portraits of your fur-kid, and we donate back to help other dogs prepare for their forever homes with Hudson's Halfway Home.
